President-Michelle Edell

"I can't remember a time when I wasn't an advocate for animals!  Even as a small child I was always rescuing animals and bring them home only to be told to leave them be. I grew up around the Metro Detroit Area of Michigan. It was while attending college for fine arts that I accidentally stepped onto the path of "Service to Animals" after taking a kennel job at a local cat clinic. It was love at first site! And before long I was an L.V.T. and was working toward my degree in biology and spending my spare time with rescue centers, anti-cruelty groups, working spay and neuter projects, in shelters...you name it. I learned the hard facts about animal welfare first hand and many, many times shedding tears of both sadness and joy along the way." - Michelle

Michelle now lives with her husband, and pets Allyn, and works as a web designer and small business consultant. She has owned both a successful pet sitting business and small cat toy company and is a strong advocate for humane treatment of both animals and children. She is also an avid wildlife photographer, ordained minister and currently working towards her Wildlife Rehabilitation Certification.

"I have lived and worked in Belfair since 1994 and have watched the growth of our community. I had been employed as a nursery person at our local nursery and then ventured into a career as a real estate agent. I am presently working at Preferred Real Estate Group, Inc here in Belfair and feel this field has given me knowledge of not only our area, but the people in it as well.  Having been born and raised on a farm in North Dakota, I aware an early love of animals and have had pets of my own ever since I moved off the farm. I presently have 2 dogs and 6 cats and love them all. I have a strong desire to help this community in the joint effort of building a facility to help with the companion animals we see and hear about every day." - Carol
