Because
The Humane Society of Mason County
does not have a "brick and mortar"
shelter facility we depend on a
network of loving volunteer foster
families for care and rehabilitation
of animals in our charge. We offer
numerous solutions to people who
have a pet at home or have just
rescued one, and feel they cannot,
for whatever reason, care for him or
her themselves. The best place for
these pets is in a good home. And
the best chance for a good home is
usually right there in their own
neighborhood.
Our foster care admissions team
usually only accepts animals that
have been homeless, abandoned,
neglected, or abused. We offer a
Re-Homing
Service for those who
have puppies/kittens that need to be
places and pets they need to place
in new homes due to relocation
and/or health circumstances. So if
you're looking for help with a pet
who is already part of your family,
or you've rescued a homeless pet in
need, it's best to consult our
foster care admissions team for the
best course of action.
Please note that due to limited
resources do not assume we will take
in every animal. Also note we are
not affiliated in any way with the
county animal control and generally
do not respond to calls related to
dangerous animals or feral cats
colonies. |
