Drawing Guidelines

Qualifying:

You must be a current resident of Mason County, be at least 18 years of age.

Size/weight:

Cat or dog must weigh at least 2 lbs and be 12 weeks of age.

Age:

Animals over the age of 8 years must have blood work tests from current local vet that meet Humane Society of Mason County guidelines.

Scheduling:

You must be responsible for contacting the surgery clinic and setting up your appointment. Be sure to mention the Humane Society of Mason County as well as your name.

HSMC reserves the right to refuse surgery to an animal if a health risk is determined. HSMC will not accept animals exhibiting signs of Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) -- runny eyes and nose.

At the time of disqualification, you have 30 days from the time the animal is found unfit for surgery to improve its health and have animal found acceptable for surgery by HSMC. If at the end of 30 days the animal is still found unsuitable, you forfeit your winning of the drawing by the Humane Society of Mason County. You are eligible for future drawings for a healthy animal.

Payment:

Pet owner is responsible for any other fees incurred over and above the basic spay/neuter at time of services. Other services are available at the owner’s expense.

Surgery clinic:

HSMC contracts with numerous clincs in Western Washington to perform spay/neuter surgery; the surgery clinc will be at the discretion of HSMC.

Transportation:

Pet owner is responsible for any transportation to and from the clinic performing the surgery.

Winner has 30 days from date of notification by Humane Society of Mason County to schedule an appointment with the surgery clinc. If not done within 30 days, winner becomes disqualified.
