for Free Spay/Neuter
Qualifying: You must be a current resident of Mason County, be at least 18 years
of age, and meet the income guidelines printed below.
Size/weight: Cat or dog must weigh at least 2 lbs and be 16 weeks of age. Spay
services for female dogs over 75 lbs are unavailable.
Age: Animals must not be over
the age of 7 years.
Scheduling: You are responsible for contacting Kitsap County Humane Society and
setting up an appointment within 30 days of signing the Humane Society of Mason
County Application. Be sure to mention The
Humane Society of Mason County. If not done within 30 days, winner becomes
disqualified.
Kitsap County Humane Society reserves the right to refuse surgery to an
animal if a health risk is determined or the animal is aggressive. If Kitsap County Humane Society finds the
animal unfit for surgery, you have 30 days to improve its health and have the animal
found acceptable for surgery by Kitsap County Humane Society. If at the end of 30 days, the animal is still
found unsuitable, you forfeit your winning of the drawing by The Humane Society
of Mason County. You are eligible for
future drawings for a healthy animal.
Payment: Pet owner is responsible for any other fees incurred
over and above the basic spay/neuter at time of services. Other services are
available at the owner’s expense.
Transportation: Pet owner is responsible
for any transportation to and from Kitsap County Humane Society, or any other
veterinary clinic.
Advertising: Owner and or their pet must be willing to have their photo and name
published in the North Mason Life newspaper and or other publications in
conjunction with the Humane Society of Mason County and Kitsap County Humane
Society.
