Youth
Volunteers:
We
currently
have
limited
positions
available
for
youth
under
16.
Youth
aged
16-18
are
encouraged
to
apply
for
any
position
marked
Youth
in
recruitment

Position: Bookkeeper
Recruitment Status: Ongoing
Description: You would help with QuickBooks entries, bank reconciliations and generating monthly reports for treasurer. Assisting when needed for budget reviews and grant writing. Other duties may include filing, assisting with annual report.
Training Required: Must have knowledge or QuickBooks and Excel.
Additional Requirements: Basic office skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn as needed, friendly phone manner.
Hours: As needed. 2-4 hours per month.
Position: General Office Assistants
Recruitment Status: Ongoing
Description: You would help with everything from answering phones, returning e-mail and phone messages, assembling mailings and information packets, and sending thank you letters. Other duties may include filing, running errands, and putting up posters.
Training Required: Attendance at a Volunteer Orientation.
Additional Requirements: Basic office skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn as needed, friendly phone manner
Hours: As needed, weekdays, weekends, evenings.
Position: Website and Multimedia Presentation Assistant
Recruitment Status: Website help as needed for updates
Description: You will help update our website and/or help update our multimedia presentations.
Training Required: Attendance at a Volunteer Orientation, in-office training to learn skills necessary for position.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of Adobe/Macromedia or similar program, familiarity with Microsoft Photoshop or similar, knowledge of PowerPoint. Graphics experience a plus.
Hours: This position can be done in-office or at home.
Position: Fundraising and Special Events Assistant
Recruitment Status: Ongoing
Description: You will help our Fundraising Director organize the fundraising campaigns and special events that promote our name in the community and help us raise funds to rescue the animals. We have several yearly fundraising events, including our Paws in the Park Pet Walk and Photos with Santa Paws..
Training Required: Some experience with fundraising, grant writing or events planning.
